Both on the Mac and on the iPhone or iPad i Movie on the most popular and simplest image processing applications on the market. While pre-installed on every Mac, iOS requires a separate download from the App Store. This has the advantage that Apple can distribute an update for the app at any time, while integrated apps have to wait for a system update. Still, they did not provide an update for iMovie – until now. Since yesterday finally an update for the video app is available and brings the optimization for the Super Retina Display of the iPhone X with. Another special feature is Apple’s graphics interface Metal, which promises a much better performance.
Summary to Version 2.2.5:
- Updated for the Super Retina Display of the iPhone X
- Uses “Metal” for graphics processing
- Improves the localization of Chinese (Simplified)
- Improves general stability
With iMovie Apple has adapted another app to the iPhone X. But it was not the last application yet. There are also no updates for iTunes Connect, iTunes Remote, Beats Pill +, Music Memos and AirPort Utility. Whether such updates are in progress is currently unknown.
