Apple introduces "Apple Music for Artists," an analysis tool designed specifically for musicians. The new feature is intended to give artists and bands an insight into the listening and buying habits of their fans.The Dashboard Home page displays the current number of plays, single track and album sales. The data goes back to June 2015, when Apple Music was launched.

The tool also provides a map that allows users to select one of the 115 countries where Apple Music / iTunes is available for purchase history appreciated.

In addition, data for individual cities are included, such as Top songs in each city, with more demographic breakdowns, and another feature lists all Apple-curated playlists that feature songs by an artist.

Canadian R & B singer Daniel Caesar told the industry magazine Billboard that Apple's analytics dashboard gives smaller artists the tools they need to compete with larger acts, as they would not have the money to conduct market research.

Several thousand artists were invited to do so Tool to test in a beta test. Later, the feature will be extended to all artists offering content on the iTunes and Apple Music platforms.
