It's been around a year since then Apple unveiled its high-end Mac strategy with a modular Mac Pro and the iMac Pro, which was unveiled in June 2017 and released in December of the same year BC but the modular Mac Pro is still waiting.
In a interview with TechCrunch, Apple has now revealed that the Mac Pro will not be released until 2019. When it is presented, is currently not known. Apple had originally said only that the Mac Pro 2017 would not come, which led to speculation that the device 2018 comes. That's not the case.
"We want to be transparent and openly communicate with our pro community so they know that the Mac Pro is a product for 2019," so to Apple TechCrunch.
Apple has also established a new department focused on professional hardware such as the iMac Pro, the modular Mac Pro, and the upcoming Pro Display. The team's name is Pro Workflow and it's designed to help Apple better understand what professional users want and need.
The latest Mac Pro was unveiled in 2013 and only received new components in 2017.
