Apple puts an end to connectivity issues with Ford
With iOS 11.2.6, Apple apparently has as well Fixed annoying connectivity issues with Ford vehicles, which have been around since the release of iOS 11.2.5, and do not allow users to reliably restore their car entertainment system to connect em with the iPhone or iPad. The new update to operating system version 11.2.6 seems to have resolved the problem again.
The Ford entertainment system Sync 3 was having problems with Bluetooth connectivity and the iPhone. Even via USB music data sometimes did not arrive. In addition, the AppLink connection sometimes or not always work properly.
Fortunately, the vehicle software does not need to be updated, just the iPhone. Ford also tells its users: "Please update your iPhone to connect compatible apps (such as Ford Pass) with Sync 3 in your car." If you want, you can now also have the vehicle's parking space backed up by the smartphone's connection to the vehicle.
The new update was also required to fix a bug that causes apps like iMessages to hang up crash iPhone and iPad because it is not possible to display a specific letter in the Indian language Telugu. Of course this does not only apply to iOS but also to macOS and watchOS. For these operating systems, the updates appeared macOS 10.13.3 and watchOS 4.2.3.
