ROG Strix SCAR II and Hero II are dedicated to electronic sports, specially designed for FPS and MOBA games

The new laptops feature thin-screen screens and an update rate of 144 Hz with 3ms GTG response time. The non-distraction design allows for a 2.33 cm narrower construction than the previous models in the series, without sacrificing the surface of the screen. At the same time, the weight of 2.4 Kg is also lower, helping to move. A rubber frame encircles the screen to protect it from shocks when you close your laptop.

Both Strix SCAR II and Hero II benefit from the HyperStrike Pro gaming keyboard for decisive control and command. The keyboard is inspired by desktop variants, including four quick-key, four-zone RGB, Aura Sync-compatible, and ergonomic keys with a 0.25mm deep curve. Exclusive ROG Overstroke technology is activated by pressing the key earlier and has a longer stroke for quick control. The keypad has the illuminated WASD keypad (for SCAR II) or QWER (for Hero II) with clear keys and N-key technology. It is longevous, with a lifetime of 20 million pounds.

SCAR II and Hero II are the world's first gaming laptops featuring multiple Wi-Fi antennas for more stable online gaming. ROG RangeBoost technology uses a combination of four antennas – located behind and in front of the laptop – with a unique algorithm that constantly scans and selects the best pair of antennas to cover dead spots, resulting in 30% coverage wide than the two-antenna configuration. The Wi-Fi 802.11ac Wave 2 can speed up to 1.7Gbps – twice as high as 802.11ac 2×2 and 12 times as 802.11b / g / n.

The new Strix gaming laptops are based on the eighth generation Intel Core processors with 32GB of DDR4 RAM at 2666MHz and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or GTX 1070 graphics accelerators. Storage can also be selected with M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs up to 512GB or 1TB Seagate FireCuda SSHD hard drives. Intel Speed Shift and Turbo Boost technologies drive the Intel Core i7-8750H processor speeds up to 4GHz (four-core) and 3.9GHz (six-core).
