Developers can test whether News in the iCloud works On request, all received and sent messages are managed centrally. Currently this is only possible decentralized on the individual devices with the normal operating system versions. MacOS 10.13.5 follows the macOS 10.13.4 update, which included a new wallpaper and enhanced support for external GPUs.

Apple warns users in the new version of macOS High Sierra when it comes to the first Time to start a 32-bit application and think that in the future only 64-bit applications will be supported under MacOS.

iOS 11.4 Beta 3 includes AirPlay 2 with stereo support for the smart HomePod speaker. Testing can be the lack of new public beta of the operating system of the Homepod speakers currently not. The HomePod has not been released in Germany anyway. AirPlay 2 requires an Apple TV 4 or Apple TV 4K with the beta of tvOS 11.4.

tvOS 11.4, along with iOS 11.4, reintroduces the features of AirPlay 2 that were already present in early tvOS and iOS 11.3 betas but was removed before the release of the final versions. After installing iOS 11.4 and tvOS 11.4, the Apple TV will be listed again in the Home app.

If the correct configuration profile has been installed from the Apple Developer Center, the new watchOS 4.2 Beta can be launched through the Apple Watch app downloaded and installed on the iPhone. To install the update, the Apple Watch must have at least 50 percent battery charge and be placed on the loading puck. In addition, it must be within range of the iPhone for data transmission.

A code comment hidden in watchOS 4.3.1 indicates that Apple is working to introduce support for third-party dials. Presumably, this will happen as part of a major update, for example on watchOS 5 and not already be introduced with watchOS 4.3.1.
