Chuwi Hi 9 Air, a tablet with Android 8.0 Oreo and compact design

Even though they have fallen into disfavour as smart phones with large screens have become commonplace, tablets still have a large enough market to justify launching new models with improved design

Chuwi, an Asian manufacturer specializing in price-performance tablets and laptops, announces a new tablet inspired by the famous iPad Air. Chuwi Hi 9 Air provides a 10.1 "IPS screen with a 2560x1600 pixel resolution, glued together with the mineral glass shield

Also available in the 4G LTE version, the tablet can be configured with up to two SIM cards, one for voice calls and another for access to mobile internet services.

Inside, the Chuwi Hi 9 Air is home to a MediaTek Helio X20 engine, a deca-core model of the past year, but with enough processing power to handle most of the usage scenarios. The tablet delivered with Android 8.0 Oreo comes with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage space and an 8000mAh battery pack that should provide enough autonomy in normal use. The recipe is complemented with a 13MP rear-mounted camera, along with an LED flash

The premium aspirated tablet, Chuwi Hi 9 Air, will be officially unveiled in April. For now, the price is not known, but given the reputation of the Asian manufacturer, we can expect the amount required to be reasonable.
