Facebook changes the newsfeed again. Here's what type of content to take priority
Facebook has announced new newsfeed changes. Algorithms will be modified to show more things published by friends and family members and less content from publications and other types of pages.
According to company chief Mark Zuckerberg, the stream will show less "content passive, "which invites users to just watch or read. Thus, users will receive fewer viral videos and sponsored articles of certain brands
Facebook says changes are the result of research into how users respond emotionally to different types of content. There will be fewer posts that can affect emotionally or stress people
Changes also have the role of reducing exposure to false news as well as breaking bubbles ("filter bubbles") in which people live on Facebook.
"We want to make sure that our products are not just fun, but they are not just fun. good for people, "Zuckerberg told the New York Times.
Facebook, the largest online social networking site in the world, has about 2 billion members.
