The marketing company MBLM has tried in a large-scale study ht find out what role different brands play in the lives of consumers.

Large-Scale Investigation

6,000 participants conducted a total of 54,000 brand evaluations. It used brands from 15 different industries.

The result? Apple is the most trusted brand in Generation Y, born between 1980 and 2000. Disney finished in 2nd place, followed by YouTube in 3rd place. Google’s video platform was first in the Top 10 again. Disney, Amazon, and Netflix were ranked 1 to 3 last year.

The emergence of YouTube so far ahead is attributed to changing television habits. Consumers wanted to break out of mainstream and YouTube offers a very diverse range of “new faces”. This may be an argument, according to MBLM.

Top 10 Most Trusted Brands

Following Apple, Disney and YouTube, Target, Amazon, Nintendo, Google, Xbox, Netflix and Whole Foods are in sixth place to 10.

It is interesting that the group of 18 to 24-year-olds favors a slightly different top 10. There is the order: Apple followed by Amazon, YouTube, PlayStation, Starbucks, Nintendo, Google, Netflix, Coca Cola and Walmart.

The full results in a more comprehensive report would like to announce MLBM on March 13 give.
