Suggested as an alternative to voicemail, the new Google Duo feature lets you send short video messages to people who can not be contacted directly
Equivalent to the mobile messaging service, the "leave video message" option will appear on the screen when the person contacted does not answer the incoming call, allowing you to record a video message of up to 30 seconds
Unlike traditional voice mail, video messages are kept for only 24 hours from the original view, but the recipient will be able to download the clip received in the cell phone memory.
Google will add the option for video messages in both the Android version, but the iOS version of the Duo app. Unfortunately, the company did not provide a precise timetable for delivering the necessary updates.
