Google extends Text-to-speech functionality of Android phones to cover also English
From now on, Android phone users will be able to use the Google Text-to-speech app and voice synthesis in English
Google has updated the Text-to-speech app, available for free in the Google Play store, with support for Estonian, Romanian and Slovak languages, completing the already existing voice synthesis selection
The Text-to-speech application can be used to listen to text documents as well as to enhance the functionality of other applications with voice synthesis support. At the same time, blind people can use voice synthesis technologies to navigate the Android interface and access basic features such as phonebook and call function
For use, a visit is required in the Settings> Language & Input> Text-to-Speech output menu, where we set Google Text-to-Speech Engine as the default voice synthesis option and choose the language you want.
