GoPro is getting used to launching new action rooms in the fall, but rumors began to appear about a new model called simply "GoPro HERO" that could be revealed and launched in stores very soon. We do not have much information about the new camera besides some photos and a page of what appears to be a user manual, but on the outside, the design is not exactly different from what we saw in the past in the range of cameras action GoPro
The new GoPro HERO (model number CHDHB-501-RW) keeps the gray rubber case of the latest models, offering a touch screen on the back and the two Mode and Power buttons are positioned on the sides (one on one on the right and one on the top). The brochure that we have at hand suggests that this model will be limited in capabilities as it can only shoot in 1080p 60 FPS or 1440p 60 FPS resolutions, while the new Hero 6 models can achieve 4K at 60 FPS resolution
Several accessories, such as an underwater housing, some fixtures, data cable, and battery, will also be integrated into the box. The fact that a waterproof accessory is integrated into the box suggests that without it, the camera is not resilient, something that the last generation of GoPro "premium" already have.
Considering the names and capabilities listed and likely to target a budget, GoPro HERO will replace the old GoPro Hero model for a few years, which came at a very low price, with hardware less powerful than the models top. The old one was locked in a permanently underwater carcass and could not be removed, as part of its outer casing.
The launch of the new GoPro HERO is expected on March 30, according to information gathered on the internet, without too much fuss from the company. The new camera will probably be a model entry model with a lower price than the GoPro HERO5 Session, which currently costs 220 euros. Thus, GoPro's market offer will reach five models, alongside the Session, HERO5 Black, HERO6 Black, and 360 degree Fusion.
