Developer Chroma Noir today released the new version 1.8 of his RAW Halide Cam photo app era released on Apple’s App Store.
Now with Apple Watch Companion App
While some developers have recently discontinued support for the Apple Smartwatch, Chroma Noir has released a Companion App in the Tow with Halide Camera 1.8
The developers believe that the clever watch is a great addition to the iPhone. You can use it to control recordings, trigger the self-timer or shutter. You will also see a real-time preview of the subject on the display of the watch.
If you do not have an Apple Watch, you can use a new self-timer on your iPhone. You can preset the timer to three, ten or 30 seconds. While the timer is active, the trigger button will remain inactive, indicating a countdown instead.
The app uses the flash of the iPhone to indicate when the photo is taken. In this way you should be able to handle group photos more easily.
New Photo Library
With Halide Camera 1.8 you can also access a new overview of photos. It now provides a grid view of existing images that makes it easier to see and share. With a simple swipe gesture, you can return from the overview to the camera view.
More accessibility and privacy
Chroma Noir also promises you a huge step in terms of accessibility. That’s why VoiceOver support has now been integrated into the app. Even the new timer can be operated by VoiceOver.
Also important is the privacy. You can now deactivate the location data for all photos at the same time. You can also restrict sharing of location data with Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Halide Camera is available for $ 6.99 from the App Store. The app requires at least iOS 10.0 or later.
