Honor 10 from Huawei arrives in Europe with P20 hardware and much lower price

Honor Secondary Honor from Huawei introduced the Honor 10 model from April in China, but now this model arrives in Europe, the phone being presented yesterday evening in London. This is a cheaper alternative to P20, which comes with similar hardware, but it compromises in a few key points to keep the price down. Fortunately, those who were not very passionate about "Leica" photo functions and do not need much RAM now have the opportunity to choose a true budget flagship.

At the hardware level, the Honor 10 delivered in Europe is equipped with a 5.84 "Full HD + resolution display. It is cut in the middle to make room for the speakerphone and 24-megapixel front camera (f / 2.0). Inside, Huawei uses the same Kirin 970 chipset I encountered on Mate 10 and P20 / P20 Pro, which provides access to the same AI functions powered by the neural co-processor. The only configuration for the Honor 10 is with 4 GB of RAM, but there is a choice between 64 GB and 128 GB of storage.

The rear-facing cameras are completely different from what we've seen in the past in the Huawei models. We are dealing with a 16 + 24 megapixel f / 1.8 diaphragm configuration, probably without optical stabilization, as it is not mentioned. However, if the same electronic stabilization system based on AI on P20 is used, there is probably no need for a mechanical solution. The AI is, however, present in the automatic selection of settings by scenario, and the system can identify up to 500 different cases

Other similarities with P20 would be the 3,400 mAh battery, which should offer very good autonomy and the SuperCharge function. The Android 8.1 operating system is equipped with the same EMUI 8.1 interface, while the back of the glass is available in both normal white and black shades and in degraded versions with purple and blue shades. Something that P20 and P20 Pro do not have, and Honor 10 has a headphone jack.

The phone was announced in the UK at a starting price of 399 pounds, which could suggest that the price in the EU could be 450 euros. Since Honor 10 is a device so similar to the P20, this price is not bad at all. It remains to be seen at what price this device arrives in the specialized stores in Romania
