Last week I heard about organizing a Honor event in May in London, where the new Honor 10 was awaited, but the launch of the phone is actually much closer than we expected. Next week, on April 19, Huawei will officially present its new flagship brand, which will probably be a cheaper version of its new Huawei P20's top model. The news comes directly from the source, a promotional image being published on the Weibo account of the Honor brand.
Historically, the Honor range of high-end devices has gone from the top Huawei models. Thus, they were usually equipped with the same processors and the same displays, while the cameras were each one generation behind. Thus, Honor 9 last year came with a similar dual-camera system in performance with that on the Huawei P9 and not as performant as the one on P10.
We expect to see a Honor 10 equipped with a high-end, probably cut-top display like the P20, with a Kirin 970 chipset that I met Huawei Mate 10 Pro, a dual system the room (the triple room would be too expensive for a budget model), probably borrowed from Mate 10 or P10 and probably a glass construction, like Honor 8 and Honor 9.
It seems that the "AI" functions are very important for Huawei, the presentation image suggesting that the phone will benefit from similar features to P20, the software being the same: EMUI 8. The event next week will take place in China, so probably the London event will mark the launch of the new device in the West
