Huawei Honor 8X confirms a new trend for “bang” phones
Since Apple launched this design element with the iPhone X series, the cut screen has become an acceptable compromise to maximize the display surface. But not all smartphone buyers agreed with Apple's choice, motivating the rest of the manufacturers to look for better solutions.
Some of them chose to completely avoid cutting the screen, opting instead for costly technologies which allow the concealment of the front camera at the side of the case and the playback of the sound emitted by the audio head directly through the glass of the screen, using piezoelectric inductors
The Honor 8X could be powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset in the archive of China's electronic equipment certification committee (TENAA) or 636, being listed with a 1.8GHz octa-core processor. The range-packed device comes with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 16MP + 2MP camera at the back. The front camera visible through the cut-out at the top of the screen supports the 8MP resolution.Another solution hugged by more and more manufacturers is to cut the V-shaped screen just to make room for the front. The conventional audio helmet is squeezed just at the edge of the screen so that at least some of the transmitted sound reaches the user's ear. Huawei Honor 8X is part of this trend, along with OPPO R17 and OPPO F9 models.
