Professional photographer James Balog, specializing in wildlife, has mounted several cameras in Greenland for a documentary. Their recordings in three years show how deep the climate changes the planet is going through at the moment

Balog said he did not think much about climate change before this project. "I did not think people were able to change the basic principles of the physics and chemistry of this huge planet. It did not seem possible, "he said.

The photographer and his team witnessed a shocking incident. A piece of ice of a large part of the Manhattan neighborhood in New York broke in front of them

The spectacular images captured by Balog and his team can be seen in the documentary "Chasing Ice".
