Developer CoolStar, who is responsible for the development and release of the Electra Jailbreak for iOS 11.1.2 devices, has information on the launch of Cydia in Electra provided. Soon there will be an updated Electra version.CoolStar made great expectations earlier this week when he announced that there will soon be a modified version of Cydia that can be used with the Electra jailbreak.
Expect a modified version of Cydia to come to Electra very soon. Beta 10's cydia's dependencies
- CoolStar (@coolstarorg) February 1, 2018
When this announcement was made The developer was missing three key Cydia dependencies that would allow it to produce an updated version of Electra with Cydia. The developer has now announced that two of these issues have been resolved thanks to support from Jay Walker and NitoTV. Meanwhile, the third issue has also been resolved.
This rapid progress means that CoolStar and its team of helpers are about to release the new version of Electra with a modified version of Cydia. That would make Cydia work on iOS 11 devices for the first time. Electra could be the first and only jailbreak package that actually works on iOS 11.
The latest jailbreakers like LiberiOS and Electra no longer install Cydia because of compatibility issues. As long as these are not resolved, the Tweak Installer is a useful way to still install apps on the cracked iOS device.
