iOS 12 and macOS 10.14 seem to be well on schedule

When developing new operating systems, Apple usually sticks to a similar schedule. In June, the new versions of iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS will be presented at the developer conference WWDC and shortly after released for developers for a beta test. A few days later, non-developers will be able to participate in the public beta program, and in the fall, the new systems will be released along with new hardware such as the next iPhone model.

But of course there is also a test phase before the developer conference. Apple will test new operating systems internally before starting the beta program, so that the worst mistakes and bugs can be discovered and eliminated. First, a handful of employees use the new system, then later a few hundred.

Since March, the numbers have risen sharply, reaching their peak this week. The hits come as little surprise from Cupertino and San Francisco, but for the first time from Shanghai. Apple is also testing extensively there.

iOS 12 and macOS 10.14 are apparently on schedule. On June 4th, WWDC, we will also know which new features the operating systems contain.
