A beta version of iOS 12 was available from the launch day for those who had software developer accounts, but it is only now that the public can test the new version of Apple's mobile operating system. Despite the fact that this is just the first "public" version, it includes the same improvements as Developer Beta 2.

The installation process is pretty simple. You need to access the beta page on the Apple website and download a certificate to the device on which you want to install iOS 12 beta. This certificate will allow you to update directly through the settings menu of the new OTA update software version. Of course, more than 50% of the battery is required for installation

Those who have the most benefit from performance-based iOS 12 are those who have very old devices such as iPhone 5 or iPhone 6, which can start applications or access the camera much faster than in the past. Otherwise, most new features are trying to further ease the user experience. There are now grouped notifications, Siri custom commands, enhanced pre-installed applications, and a feature called Screen Time, which analyzes the user's activity and generates reports on the usage time of the device

Of course, iOS 12 in beta is not a finished software, so if you decide to install it, be aware of the risks. There is a possibility that apps may have a strange behavior, shut down from the blue, there is a risk that the whole device may become stuck or the battery will be discharged faster than the "normal" version. Of course, installation is recommended on a secondary device, not on the main one that you use day by day.
