Originally It was assumed that Apple could introduce a new iPhone SE together with a cheaper iPad in March. The assumption, however, was only partially correct and the smartphone has been under maintenance since then. Other sources eventually reported on a WWDC presentation. The page Macotakara reports now, however, that we probably have to wait longer, because Apple is probably aiming for a release in September. This is what the Japanese website has learned from suppliers. For this reason, the mass production should not be started.
However, there are also facts that speak against publishing together with the “iPhone X” successors. Only recently, namely the first entries for new Apple smartphones at audit authorities appeared. Usually, this happens about a month before the device is introduced and released. This circumstance fits the WWDC theory.
However, according to Macotakara, it seems unlikely, as no final design decision has yet been made. Apple is still testing various prototypes in various sizes, ranging from the current format to a device with a 6-inch display. While no agreement has been reached on the size, it looks different with two features. All prototypes should have a rimless design with the “iPhone X” notch as well as Face ID.
Possibly the supplier could have got mixed up with the speculated 6.1-inch LCD iPhone and this for the Keep “iPhone SE” successor. Currently, you can only wait and see whether Apple may already hold a surprise for WWDC next month.
