Kingston announces the release of the A1000 SSD, the first consumer-built SSD PCIe NVMe entry-level, built on 3D NAND architecture. The A1000 promises twice the performance of SATA drives at a similar price
Dimensions 22mm x 80mm, the device is recommended for notebooks and systems that have limited space for installation. The Kingston A1000 is equipped with a Gen 3.0 x2 interface, Phison 5008 controller with four channels and NAND Flash 3D. The SSD can achieve read / write speeds of 1500MB / s and 1000MB / s, sufficient for most usage scenarios
"Kingston announces the launch of the company's newest SSD, a product positioned on the entry-level PCIe NVMe segment. Designed based on Flash memory with NAND 3D architecture, the A1000 is safer and more durable than a hard drive and twice as powerful as a SSD SATA. Now we can offer our customers the performance of a PCIe at a price roughly equal to an SSD SSD, "said Tony Hollingsbee, SSD Business Manager of Kingston EMEA. "Consumers can replace a lower-performance hard disk or SSD with A1000 and have the storage space required for applications, video, photos, and more."
The Kingston A1000 is available in 240GB, 480GB and 960GB capacities, all with a 5 year warranty and free technical support
