Microsoft finally unveiled the Surface Go tablet its budget model, released in response to the sixth generation iPad released by Apple this spring. Surface Go is equipped with Windows 10 and is recommended for use with the Microsoft Office 365 software suite. The tablet is smaller than the Surface Pro models and seems to be aimed at students and students, making them suitable for projects or themes

From a hardware standpoint, Microsoft has not tried to compromise. We have to deal with a glass and aluminum tablet with an adjustable metal back support made to the same standards as the Surface Pro tablets. Surface Go features a 10 "3: 2 screen resolution of 1,800 x 1,200 (less than the iPad's" retina "screen), a dual-core Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y based on the Kaby Lake architecture at 1.6 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space (of which a portion is occupied by Windows)

Basically, we're dealing with a complete Windows 10 tablet, but with a modest desktop-oriented configuration . At 520 grams, the tablet is more portable than a low-end laptop or Chromebook, but it does not include a keyboard in the package. Microsoft will offer two Type Cover keyboards, one plastic for $ 100, and one $ 100 for Alcantara, which will be added at the $ 400 tablet price. It's not clear whether the Surface Pen stylus is included in the package or needs to be purchased separately. Last but not least, this is the first Surface tablet with a Type-C USB port for data upload and connection

The Surface Go tablet is available for pre-order starting today in regions like the United States, Canada, much of Europe and major Asian countries, to be shipped from August 2. A Surface Go version equipped with an LTE modem will be launched before the end of the year.
