The Huawei P20 Series has been officially confirmed at the Mobile World Congress 2018, and official revelation will be made at an event to be held in late March. Given that we have not yet officially seen these devices, the fact that details have already been released about Huawei's other releases for the current year is quite curious, but not necessarily out of the ordinary. According to new leaks, we will receive new Honor, Nova and Mate devices before the end of 2018.
The information appeared on China's Weibo social networking site and presents an Excel document detailing all Huawei devices in 2018, starting with the P20 series and continuing with Mate 20, Nova 3 and Honor 9 plus all their derivatives such as Lite or X models.
Huawei P20 / P20 Pro
According to the table, Huawei will present Huawei P20 and P20 Pro in March. Both will be based on the Kirin 970 chipset, but similarities stop there. While the P20 will come with a 5.7 "Full HD screen and configurations with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage or 6 GB RAM and 128 GB Storage, the Pro will be better equipped. It will offer a 6 "resolution with" 2K "resolution and 6GB RAM configurations with 64GB and 128GB storage and top-of-the-line 8GB RAM with 256GB of storage
In the camera chapter, the P20 is listed with an 8 megapixel front-facing configuration and a 12 + 20 megapixel dual-camera system on the back, while the P20 Pro offers 8 megapixels front and a triple 12 + 16 + 16 camera system on the back. Prices of 3,788 and 4,888 yuan ($ 600/675) are within the previous generations for P20, but the P20 Pro salt amounts to 4,688, 5,288 and 9,999 yuan respectively ($ 740/835/1575) respectively. Probably the top P20 Pro will be a new "Porsche Design" edition with special configuration and exclusive design and materials
Huawei Mate 20 / Mate 20 Pro
The Mate 20 series, however, does not seem to depart far from what we got last year. Of course, the new-generation chipset, Kirin 980, that we have not yet learned much about, will debut alongside these models, but in terms of design and capabilities, they are similar to those in 2017. We are talking about a 2K screen of 5 , 9 "on Mate 20 and one Full HD 6" on Mate 20 Pro, dual rear cameras in 12 + 20 megapixel configuration on both versions 4 + 64/6 +128 GB for normal model and 6 + 64/6 + 128/6 + 256 GB for Mate 20 Pro
Prices are also in line with those of last year. 3,899 and 4,499 yuan respectively for Mate 20 Normal ($ 615/710) and $ 4,899 / 5,399 / 8,999 for Mate 20 Pro ($ 775 / $ 850 / $ 1,418). They are scheduled for release in October.
Honor 10/10 lite
Secondary Honor Brand will also receive upgrades in 2018, the launch of the two Honor 10 and Honor 10 Lite models to be split for half a year. Honor 10 will be released in June, according to the table, and will benefit from a 5.7 "Full HD screen. It will be equipped with Kirin 970, will benefit from the 12 + 20 megapixel dual-camera system and will be delivered in 4 + 64/6 + 64 and 6 + 128GB configurations. The Honor 10 Lite could only come in December with a Kirin 670 mid-range chipset, dual-camera systems on both sides (3 + 2 megapixel front and 13 + 2 main) and 3 + 32/4 + 32 and 4 configurations + 64 GB. The 5.7 "Full HD screen is also on Lite
The prices of the two models are listed at 2.299 / 2.699 / 2.999 yuan for Honor 10 ($ 360/425/475) and $ 1,299 / 1,599 / 1,899 for Honor 10 Lite ($ 200/250/300).
Huawei Nova 3 / Nova 3S
Finally we have the Nova series of devices. The table suggests that Nova 3 will be on the market in May, while a superior version of the Nova 3S will debut in December. The first one will benefit from the Full HD 6-inch diagonal screen, the Kirin 960 chipset, Huawei's 2016 model, and dual-camera systems on both sides. Unfortunately, the table does not make it clear that on the front we talk about a 10 + 2 megapixel or 20 + 2 configuration, but a 16 + 2 megapixel system will be integrated on the back
Nova 3S will keep its size (and probably Nova 3's design), but it will come with a 6-inch 1200p screen and the Kirin 970 chipset on Mate 10 and the P20 series. Configurations of 4 + 64/6 + 64/6 + 128 GB are preserved in both versions. Prices will also be identical at launch, at a distance of 6 months: 2.699 / 2.999 / 3.399 yuan ($ 425/475/535)
The table also shows information about other models that have their Chinese name, but Honor V, Honor 8X, Honor 7A and a few others can be recognized. These will be launched at budget rates and are too many and too similar to be presented individually. See the images below for more details.
Of course, this information can not be verified, but compared to Huawei's past releases, the information seems to be at least similar. We will be able to confirm the details of this article as soon as the company begins to provide details about its new smartphones in 2018.
