HMD Global seems to be the most active smartphone manufacturer when it comes to updates. Shortly after announcing that Android 8.0 and 8.1 come on the most modest Nokia models, the two mid-range versions of Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 have begun to receive the final version of the Oreo update after nearly two months of testing under the program Beta Labs
Those who have one of the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 models, especially international models, unlocked by operators, will soon receive an OTA (over-the-air) update, if the notifications have not yet begun, which will bring the Android operating system to version 8.0. Since HMD does not greatly change the interface and the way software is developed by Google, the period of accommodation with the few updates should be quite short.
Android Oreo does not offer a lot of interface changes, many of its benefits being hidden in the background. We're dealing with better resource management, "picture-in-picture" capabilities to play files or video streams over other apps, the latest security update in January, and other small snapshots, where there were problems at the operating system level.
Thus, the number of Nokia devices on the market that already have Android 8.0 Oreo increases from 3 to 5, and will soon rise to seven, that is, all the models launched so far. Meanwhile, other manufacturers have not yet been able to update their 2017 flagships yet at Oreo
