HMD Global came to the Mobile World Congress 2018 with an impressive range of mobile devices, covering each segment, from feature phones to high-end. Even if the Nokia 8 Sirocco is now the new range of the company, the company is preparing two more top models for 2018, says new rumors. Nokia 9 comes out again on this occasion, alongside a new Nokia 8 Pro model, more powerful than the two devices in the range launched so far
According to Nokiapoweruser, HMD Global is working on an enhanced version of Nokia 8 Sirocco, which will come to market in the form of Nokia 8 Pro. It could retain the exterior design and much of the internal hardware of the new top model. The major difference would be the use of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 845 chipset, which would bring the device performance to the same level as competition, most of the 2018 flagship to be based on this chip. It is unclear whether the five-camera camera system will be implemented on Nokia 8 Pro.
Instead, Nokia 9 could be the competitor for the Galaxy Note series, iPhone Plus and Huawei Mate, with a larger screen (5.7 "or more diagonal), an 18: 9 display and other enhanced hardware features. Since the Nokia 8 Pro may already have a high-end chipset, 6 GB of RAM and other top specs, it's not clear what will bring Nokia 9 in addition. Perhaps the revolutionary camera system is reserved for the Nokia 9 series and not the Nokia 8 series, the rumors also mention a fingerprint sensor in the display
The two devices could be launched in August, fixed a year away from the launch of the Nokia 8 series. If that is true, the new phones will most likely be presented for the first time publicly at the IFA 2018 fair held at Berlin in early September
