One of the digital alternatives to banks is officially launched on the Romanian market and opens a local office
Revolut officially announces the launch of its services in Romania and the opening of a local office in May. The local team will be made up of a Country Manager and a small marketing team, according to a company release.
Revolut allows users to open a current account in the application, make free domestic and international transfers, hold and exchange 25 coins in the application using the interbank exchange rate and spend money worldwide in 130 coins, free of charge and hidden fees, using a contactless VISA or MasterCard card. Moreover, users can buy and trade Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum directly from the application
"Revolut currently has over 25,000 users in Romania who trust us to manage their money. In 2017 they spent $ 3 million and saved over $ 150,000 by choosing Revolut at the expense of traditional banks. We have achieved these organic results without marketing investments. We are convinced that we can exceed 100,000 users in Romania by the end of the year with the support of the local team, "said Andrius Biceika, Head of Country Managers, Revolut
