OnePlus has demonstrated over the years that it can deliver top smartphones at lower prices than competition, with the indication that its production power is consequently lower. So far, the company has tried to move away from industry trends, keeping Full HD displays up to date by refusing to give up the audio jack and adopt wireless charging or water resistance. OnePlus 6 could be the phone that will change this strategy, with the first images and details suggesting it will be the company's first cropping device
This is not the first time that OnePlus is inspired by the design of other companies. The back of the OnePlus 3 series and the OnePlus 5 series were inspired by HTC and Apple devices, while the OnePlus 5T 18: 9 screen aligned with the market requirements of 2017. It seems, however, that OnePlus believes that the "bang" of the display is a market requirement in 2018, the first leaks related to this model showing a cut in the center of the display at the top. Here you can see the camera and the loudspeaker for very small calls, along with the specific sensors.
The information revealed by this image is reinforced by a new screenshot showing the results of the device in the AnTuTu test application. At the top, on the notification bar, the icons are aligned to one side and the other to an empty space, while the right icons are not even enough to be fully displayed. However, it is not clear how big the "bang" is, as the interface suggests a similar size to the one on the iPhone X, while the photos show a similar cut-off phone to the Huawei P20
At the performance and hardware chapter, OnePlus 6 seems to be a very high performance model, with an ANTuTu score of 276,510, the highest score ever on a smartphone. It will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB of RAM and a higher screen with a 19: 9 aspect ratio.
Launch of OnePlus 6 is expected this summer.
