Panasonic unveils Lumix FT7, a resilient digital camera for outdoor photography
Panasonic is launching a new compact camera, aimed at nature lovers. The Lumix FT7 is resistant to shocks and difficult environmental conditions and can be used under water up to a depth of 31 meters. The new model features an electronic viewfinder, a 20.4 MP sensor and a 4.6x zoom lens (minimum 135: 28mm equivalent)
Panasonic Lumix FT7 is tested for use in cold conditions (up to -10C) and the casing can tolerate crushing up to 100kg.
The Lumix FT7 lets you shoot at speeds of up to 10 frames per second and has very fast autofocus to get almost instant photos
The shooting function can go up to 4K / 30 fps resolution and allows you to take pictures simultaneously. Three options are included: 4K Burst, 4K Burst (Start / Stop) and 4K Pre-Burst. 4K Burst mode lets you record a sequence of shots taken at a rate of 30 frames / sec. The Lumix FT7 also features the Post-Focus function (recording a shot of 8 MP photos with different focusing, then selecting the photo with the desired focus)
The lens of the camera has a 4.6x zoom stabilized by Power O.I.S. both shooting and shooting. The Auto Wind Cut audio filter cancels most of the wind noise during video recording.
The Lumix FT7 includes Wi-Fi connectivity, making it easy to connect to your smartphone or tablet through the dedicated Panasonic Image App application. GPS data can be added to images after shooting.
The list of facilities is complemented by a compass and altimeter useful for hiking.
