Apple’s beta program continues unabated Yesterday, the first trial releases for developers appeared on all Apple operating systems, both iOS 11.4.1 and watchOS 4.3. 2, tvOS 11.4 .1 and macOS 10.13.6 have been released. Today it’s the turn of the public beta testers. You get iOS 11.4.1, tvOS 11.4.1, and macOS 10.13.6.

iOS 11.4.1 is likely focused on bug fixes for all the issues caused by yesterday’s iOS 11.4 release. With iOS 11.4, the feature “News in iCloud”, AirPlay 2 and stereo support for the HomePod added.

What’s new in iOS 11.4.1 is not yet known. This also applies to the new beta versions of tvOS and macOS.

The macOS 10.13.6 Beta 1 is introduced before macOS 10.13.5 is out of beta. Actually we had expected a final version of macOS 10.13.5 for today, but it did not come. Instead, it remains at the beta 5 of the desktop operating system. It is to be expected that all of today’s beta releases focus solely on bug fixes.

The new beta can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center or over the air, with the software update mechanism in the Mac App Store must be used. Previously, a corresponding profile must be installed on the machine for the download to be performed.
