If you speak English, you can watch the video below by having an editor of AppleInsider's colleagues Siri and Bixby compete against each other. Some sections, however, give the impression that was not always measured with the same measure. The cuts are chosen rather unfortunate, but should only bridge waiting times and thirsty stretches.
Siri reacts quickly and listens better
It is spontaneously obvious in the video that Siri often reacts much faster. Also, the interaction with Apple's language assistant is clearly "natural," as long as you can continue the statement immediately after the keyword "Hey, Siri ...". At Bixby, you have to wait for the keyword to be spoken before the voice assistant, Samsung, gives you feedback. Only then does he listen to you. If you lose before, the software overrides your announcement.
Bixby has more powers
You can now use Apps with Bixby uninstall or close it. Siri can not do that. You can also send individual photos or media directly to other participants by voice command. Apple has not yet granted such powers to its assistant.
Another difference: Bixby is loaded as an overlay. The rest of your screen will remain visible. Siri, on the other hand, covers the entire screen in communication.
Samsung's assistant still at a disadvantage?
As of now, Bixby is still at odds with Siri. Because the assistant of Samsung speaks so far only Korean and English. Other languages have yet to be taught.
