Telekom offers customer benefits as a result of technical problems on March 5

Telekom Romania will offer discounts on invoice, additional credit to the card and other additional benefits for the non-functioning of mobile services on March 5.

Telekom subscribers will receive a reduction equivalent to a subscription day to the first monthly invoice issued after March 11 as compensation for the technical problems encountered on March 5.

Prepaid customers will receive additional credit equivalent to their daily average consumption. Both the subscription discount and the credit will be automatically allocated.

Starting April 2, all Telekom subscribers will receive 30-day free voice, SMS, and unlimited national voice data, which they will be able to activate at any time by the end of the year.

Business customers receive a free 2GB of 4G net traffic, active over a 30-day period, which they can request at Telekom stores by the end of 2018.

Telekom Romania recorded a number of technical problems in the mobile network, on March 5, which affected customers nationwide. The situation arose as a result of equipment problems, and afterwards a congestion effect similar to a snowball appeared after repeated calls from affected customers, the company reported.
