Shortly after launching its new Nokia 2018 range, HMD Global has brought the Nokia X6, a very modern, cut-out design to the Chinese market. At the time, the company said it did not plan to launch this model in other regions, but listings on the official Bluetooth.com website suggest that there is a model called the Nokia X6 "Global" and a new mid- range Nokia 5.1 Plus
The Nokia X6 is the first smartphone from HMD Global with a 19: 9 screen and top-of-the-line trim that resembles the rest of the smartphones launched in the past few months. It comes with a 5.8 "diagonal screen with Full HD + resolution, Qualcomm's octagonal Snapdragon 636 processor, configurations with 4 or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, offering an attractive balance between performance and price.
On the other hand, Nokia 5.1 Plus is likely to become a true best-buy if it comes at a "fair" price. The original model, the Nokia 5.1, comes with a 5.5 "Full HD + resolution on 18: 9, 2 or 3 GB RAM and 16 or 32 GB of storage space. Being a "Plus" smartphone, the new model should offer a larger screen, probably more RAM, and a larger battery than the 2,970 mAh built in Nokia 5.1. Since Nokia 5.1 is one of the cheaper models from HMD Global, a 5.1 Plus should not be much more expensive than that
The listings for the Nokia X6 suggest that the first non-China regions to receive this model will be Russia and Taiwan, but these will certainly not be the last markets in which we will see the phone. Juho Sarvikas, HMD Global CEO, has recently published a poll on his Twitter account to test the interest of customers around the world for this model. The result was very positive for launching the phone outside of China, so this feedback probably influenced this decision.
