A team of researchers at MIT has developed a robot fish. Called SoFi, it swims like a real fish, moving its tail. The device will be used to study marine ecosystems. The robot was tested at a depth of 15 meters for 40 minutes.
The housing is made of 3D printed plastic. SoFi is equipped with a camera capable of shooting and shooting underwater photographs. "Fish" is piloted with a waterproof remote controller based on a video console controller
However, SoFi is capable of operating semi-autonomously. The advantage of the robot is that, resembling a fish, it can be closer to marine life
