An Iranian court decided on Monday to ban Telegram's fast-forwarding service to "protect national security," said local media quoted by Mediafax.

"Given the numerous complaints of Iranian citizens against the Telegram application, and on the basis of requests from security organizations faced with the illegal activities of Telegram, the court banned the use of the Telegram in Iran," the Iranian media said.
