UV Sense is a small sensor that can protect you from skin cancer
L'Oreal presented at CES 2018 a small sensor that sticks to the nail. UV Sense measures the level of ultraviolet radiation to which the user is exposed throughout the day. This information is sent to the dedicated app, available for Android and iOS.
This device is compatible with smartphones that feature NFC technology. For the data to be transmitted, touch the phone sensor.
Thus, those who use UV Sense can be better protected from skin diseases caused by prolonged exposure to the sun. After two weeks, the double-sided adhesive tape with which the sensor sticks to the nail needs to be changed.
The device will be available in the second part of this year, initially in the US. The price has not yet been announced.
