Vivo Apex was the surprise this year at the Mobile World Congress 2018. The screened phone on the entire front surface impressed everyone who came into contact with it, but raised some questions about the company's ability to produce such a device in large quantities. It seems, however, that the Chinese manufacturer will not keep this device strictly as a concept but will bring it on the market in 2018.
Originally, Vivo Apex was only presented as a phone concept, but now it is confirmed for an official launch on the market. The smartphone comes with a screen that covers 91% of the front plan area, integrates a fingerprint sensor in the display that can be accessed by half the screen and comes with an innovative system through which the front camera can be hidden inside the device when not used
Its volume production will start in mid-2018, with a scheduled launch sometime before the end of the year. Of course, the release of Vivo Apex is not expected outside of China. Vivo is the fifth-largest manufacturer in the world at this time, but it sells smartphones exclusively in the mother country.
On the internal hardware chapter, Vivo Apex boasts a Snapdragon 845 chipset with a full 6 "OLED-based display with an audio jack and a USB-C plug, something missing from the X20 with a fingerprint sensor in the display, released earlier this year
Meanwhile, world-renowned manufacturers are launching smartphones with cropped displays and "classic" fingerprint sensors integrated into either the phone body or capacitive buttons on the market
