VLC for Android gets compatible with Chromecast accessory

VLC Media Player is one of the most versatile media players available in both PC and smartphone and tablet users

Beginning with version 2.9 of the VLC Beta edition, Android users can wirelessly play audio and video content taken on the TV screen using the Chromecast accessory

Waiting for over two years, since the first Android VLC release, Chromecast support is in the testing phase, with some connection problems or video connection stability.

VLC Beta 2.9 allows you to stream Chromecast both for media files hosted on your device's local memory, but also for content accessed directly from the Internet. Unfortunately, proper operation is guaranteed only for locally accessed files

For activation, it is enough to activate the "Cast" symbol at the top of the screen. At first use, we need to choose the Chromecast device we want to connect from the list.
