It seems that "bangs" is a design artifact that will soon disappear from the smartphone market. The Chinese company Vivo launched the first smartphones in the world where almost all of the front surface is covered by the display.
The phones, called NEX S and NEX A, were officially presented in China. The two models are similar but the chipsets differ and the location of the fingerprint reader. The more advanced model, Vivo NEX S, has the Snapdragon 845 chipset and fingerprint sensor under the display. NEX A includes the Snapdragon 710 chipset and a fingerprint reader on the back.
The NEX smartphones feature Super AMOLED 6.59-inch display (2.316 x 1.080 pixel resolution, 19.3: 9 image format, 91.24 percent screen-to-body ratio) and 8 self-image MP (f / 2.0), which is retractable. Her place is positioned on the top of the phone.
Since they do not have traditional speakers, the phones produce sound through the vibration of the screen. The technology is called Screen SoundCasting Technology, and Vivo claims it offers superior bass sound.
The housing of the two phones is made of glass (on the back) and metal (edges).
NEX S has an 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB internal storage capacity. NEX A has 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage capacity. Terminals do not include micro-SD card slots.
Both models use a dual camera in 12MP f / 1.8 (Sony IMX363) + 5MP f / 2.4 configuration, running the Funtouch OS 4.0 interface (based on Android 8.1) and have a 4,000 mAh battery. Furthermore, NEX S and A include a 3.5 mm universal audio jack.
The NEX S version of 128GB costs the equivalent of $ 702, and the 256GB has a $ 780 price. NEX It costs $ 608.
