WWDC 2018: Invitations sent | Mac Life
Be among the lucky "influencers" invited by Apple to the keynote address for WWDC 2018 If not, you know at least that there are some people who have received an official invitation. Only with this will they be admitted to the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose on June 4.
Americans have to get up early, we do not
Thanks to the time difference we can have the keynote address on the evening of June 4th. In California, however, the presentation will take place at 10 o'clock in the morning. In this country, you can attend the event at 7 pm
After the keynote there is a short break. Then only the actual event begins. Apple holds dozens of events over several days, allowing developers to gain first-hand expertise from Apple's engineers. Last but not least, an official ticket for the event costs $ 1,599.
Is there a livestream for WWDC 2018?
Probably. Because in recent years, the keynote has always been streamed via Apple's own website or apps on the iPhone, iPad and the Apple TV.
What will be shown at WWDC 2018?
At the event it's about software. Apple will introduce innovations for its operating systems iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. In the course of this, it may of course be that new hardware is presented. Apple could also introduce AirPlay 2 in detail and show for example, the charge mat "AirPower" in action. We've been waiting for them since last year.
In addition, there's only speculation about what Apple is showing or not. A new iPad Pro with borderless display and Face ID is conceivable. A new cheaper MacBook seemed unlikely recently. Generally, Apple hangs here on the drip from Intel. The processor manufacturer was last able to communicate only bad news. Presumably that's why Apple could want to use its own processors in the medium term. And then there's this rumor with the AR glasses.
