Developers can now apply for tickets through the WWDC website by March 22 at 10:00 am (Pacific time). The tickets are issued in a random selection process because more and more developers want to participate than seats are available.

Developers will be notified of their application status by 17:00 (Pacific time) until March 23. Up to 350 WWDC student scholarships are available this year. This also makes sense, as the event is very expensive.

In addition to new operating systems, new products or services are sometimes presented: in 2011, this was the iCloud, while the first MacBook Pro with Retina Display was presented in 2012. The latest Mac Pro was unveiled at WWDC in 2013 and the new iPad Pro saw the light of day in 2017.

This year, for example, a new iPad Pro could be introduced that is 11 inches tall. However, there are also rumors that Apple wants to publish until the WWDC no new smartphone. The iPhone SE is already two years old and many fans hope that a successor with better equipment will soon follow.
