Every year at WWDC can si ch students to apply for a scholarship. The lucky winners will then receive from Apple a free WWDC ticket, free accommodation, and an annual Apple developer membership. This year, the number of scholarship holders has been increased again, allowing more than 350 interested students to participate in the Developer Conference and Keynote. On Twitter, Apple CEO Tim Cook shared first impressions and introduced some of the young developers.
In the published video, Cook is seen happily gathering with some of the fellows and discussing the apps they have developed so far with each one, as well as future plans. Of course, the app “Study Buddy Connection” stands out, which is supposed to connect tutors and pupils in a simple way. Tim Cook underscores his tweet with the words “Nothing inspires us more than fresh ideas.”
More insights may follow tonight as Tim Cook enters the WWDC stage to open Apple’s biggest annual development event. Here, too, he traditionally loses a few words about the community and could again underline the importance of development work with a funny video. We like to remind you of the “APPocalypse”.
