Xiaomi confirms the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite models. Launch is scheduled for next week
Xiaomi has no patience. After staying for months on the existence of its new Android One, Mi A2 smartphone, the company confirmed its existence as well as a modest model in the same range, but also the date we will see it officially. The announcement was made on the company's Facebook page. The two phones, however, are not a surprise for those who watched Xiaomi's business, as Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite were listed online in a shop in Poland last days
Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to be the "international" model of the Mi 6X mid-range premium device, which debuted in China just a few months ago. It benefits from hardware specifications at the high-end and mid-range boundaries, with a high-performance camera and a design that reminds of a competition device. We're talking about a display device that measures 6 "diagonally and displays Full HD + resolutions equipped with a Snapdragon 660 6 GB RAM chipset and a 12 + 20 megapixel dual camera system
With a metallic construction on the back and a room very similar to the one on the iPhone X it seems to be a very attractive device if it really gets to the market at 240 euros, as it rumbles at the moment. Also, those who are not fans of the cut displays will have a reason for joy, as the Mi 6X comes with a full 18: 9 display
Then we have the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, which has been listed recently and which seems to be very similar in specification with another company model released in China: Redmi 6 Pro. It features a 5.84 "Full HD + 19: 9 resolution with a top cut and slightly modest specifications: Snapdragon 625 chipset, 3 or 4 GB RAM, and 32 or 64 GB internal storage. The main camera benefits from 12 + 5 megapixel sensors, and the 3.500 mAh battery could offer more autonomy than the 3,000 mAh on Mi A2
These details, however, are just information we have based on the devices that Xiaomi has already launched in China. It is possible that Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite may suffer some changes in the transition to Europe, but they will be rather software. Both devices benefit from the Android 8 Oreo operating system and are part of the Android One program, ie they come with a non-personalized interface without bloatware and get guaranteed 3 years of security updates but not necessarily updates to the latest version of Android.
The official launch event is scheduled for July 24 to be held in Madrid
